While I always fancy to utilize my holidays exploring a new city, new place that I haven’t seen before, this time I decided to make an exception. I visited Udaipur like the third time, but all those trips were with my parents or relatives when I was very young. So, practically as much as my mother claims to have shown me most places in the city, I honestly don’t remember it all.
This trip wasn’t like the others where we went exploring and wandering on the streets of the city. However, it was more with a purpose of being relaxed and refreshed. Since it was only for 4 days, I wanted to spend the holiday without having a checklist of list of things to be done, seen or covered in the city. So, practically all we did was stay put in our hotel and enjoy the stay.
We had booked the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur for our stay, since I’ve always admired the beautiful white serene palace surrounded by water from all sides. While most of the luxury hotels are situated around the periphery of the lake, this one is bound to catch your attention since it is right in the middle of the lake. It was built by the then Prince of Udaipur as the Summer Palace. The architecture hence is so beautiful with lush green courtyards. It almost makes you feel like a princess of that era. Every corner of the property has been maintained so well like it has a story of its own to tell.
We had not planned this holiday with the intention of creating content for the blog, but I could not resist clicking pictures and writing about this pretty, royal and extravagant beauty of this place. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we did shooting them.
